The Members Lounge provides world-class service in restaurant and function management. Our daily and strategic vision is to consistently provide gustatory indulgence with outstanding quality within a centre of excellence to ensure your guests and event meet this standard.

Choosing a venue +
- Determine the venue seating layout best suited for your function.
- Banquet - Cabaret - Theatre - Classroom - Custom layout - Tables (round & Trestle) - Party layout (half standing)
- If selecting a banquet layout, consider the number of seats per table: min 8, max 12
- Cabaret seating has a maximum of 8 seats per table
- Consider layout with a stage / lectern /Audio visual screens / dance floor area – dance floor determines maximum guests
- View the graphical layout options for each room:
- The drawings are close to scale and provide a visual indicator of where flexibility exists to vary numbers of guests
- We modify layouts for your requirement for a variety of events, corporate, instructional, weddings, life celebration events etc.
- Each layout for each venue lists the maximum number of guests.
- Select a venue and layout that is best suited to your event requirements and the # of guests.
- For example, a banquet layout, with/without a dance floor area, 10/12 guests per table to determine the maximum guests in the venue
Pricing +
- When choosing a venue the following could be considered:
- Exclusive or not exclusive
- e.g. For a party of 50 guests you could choose any venue
- The bistroteca and dine with other guests, no minimum spend - set menu or available for cocktail packages
- The Ottimo room, exclusive and private - set menu
- The Member's Lounge restaurant exclusively - Evenings or Sunday lunch, a minimum spend of $6900 - cocktail party or e.g. the party package
- The Member's Lounge restaurant non-exclusively - For example various families for a Baptism celebration and book by tables with other families
- e.g. For a party of 50 guests you could choose any venue
- Menu selection
- The Bistroteca & Ottimo rooms have a set menu price per person with drinks at bar prices or cocktail packages. If the whole venue is booked for a function we are flexible on menu selections. For wakes, celebrations, and corporate, a popular choice is the cocktail packages.
- The Member's Lounge restaurant menu is usually the Member's Lounge party package or Cocktail packages with a minimum spend of $6900
- The Sala Roma Ballroom is again usually the Member's Lounge party package or Cocktail packages, sports club packages etc., with a minimum spend of $12,500
- Exclusive or not exclusive
- The menu page of the website has been designed to indicate which menu is available in which venue.

Reservations +
- On the website tab 'Venues' choose the venue and select 'Reservations +' or under the Menu' choose your menu and select the venue you wish e.g. 'Ballroom Reservation'
- In the popup, a reservations form opens and select the reservation slot
- We ask for the minimum details for venue/staff preparation and these details go into our kitchen and floor system so any special requests are captured by the staff serving you
- Select the menu for the venue
- Bistro - 12 or less guests, no deposit - >12 guests $8 per person deposit
- Ottimo - Min 20 guests or $900 min spend with a $275 deposit
- If you have spoken with Carlo or require any special consideration, simply write it under the 'notes' section.
- You will receive a confirmation email and your booking is automatically in our system for your event for our planning and preparation.
- The next action is you will receive 7-10 days before your event, an email requesting final #'s, any balance and dietary considerations with a fillable form & venue layout diagram.
Cancelling or re-sheduling your event +
Your deposit is fully refundable up to 28 days before your event (Mixed Party/Exclusive Function). All monies held in escrow.
To re-schedule your event, simply call or email us and we will make the changes for you.
7-10 days before your event - Final #'s, balance & Special Dietary +
Seven (7) to ten (10) days prior to your event we will email you with a request for:
- Final guest #'s for each table & seating - in the email are instructions, a fillable form when you press 'reply' to email (or copy/paste) for your venue to be filled and a venue table layout and numbering image to help guide you for guest table assignment
- Any dietary considerations for your guests
- Please write on the form under notes if you wish to have a cake table set up for you, or any other important considerations.
- Request the balance at least 4 days prior to your function (total-deposit) except where prior arrangements with Carlo were given
- If you don't receive any emails prior to 5 days before your event, please check the junk folder of your email client or kindly call us.
- The email table form is editable when you select reply to email or 'cut and paste' it for drafts.
- Please use the table #'s and locations provided.
- For the Member's Lounge restaurant, Ottimo, Ballroom & FIOR, please follow the table #'s position on layout diagram, they are fixed numbering for staff/dietary. Bistroteca and even Ottimo are flexible depending upon customer requests for layout and tables.
The day of your event +
- It is very rare there is no event on the day prior or the evening before your event, to arrange for a cake delivery or e.g. Plynth and perform personal setup of tables you may wish. Generally, there are other guests with their events and therefore we can't provide access until 45 minutes before your event starts.
- Hosts may, with prior arrangement with Carlo (03) 8560 0556, enter 45 minutes prior to the event commencement for any cake tables, cake deliveries, displays etc.
- Simply call Carlo (03) 8560 0556 if this conflicts with your setup
- Hosts of functions are responsible for producing their own guest list if they wish to use one.
- To ensure your function setup is perfect, doors open at the commencement of the function e.g., 12:30 pm or 6:30pm for all guests.
- No confetti balloons or confetti allowed. Due to the enormous difficulty of cleaning they will be removed from the venue.
- All functions for male youth sports clubs e.g., Junior's now require 2 security guards in attendance at a cost of $980 per event to prevent unreasonable and unsupervised damage.
- A 1.1% credit card surcharge may be applied when settling balances at the venue.
